At Embrace you won’t hear the phrase, “we’re going to take this week’s offering”.
Simply stated: God doesn’t take, God gives. So we give an offering. God has let go of everything. He sent His Son to give us life, breath, and freedom. To set us free from our sin, from our addictions, from whatever enslaves us. To deliver us out of death and into life.
So in response to all He’s done we say; “God I want the world to know about Jesus. So I give to Your House. I’m going to give to Embrace Church because this is a place where I believe my money will be multiplied to help our communities and the world come to know the love I have found in Jesus. I have confidence that at the end of it all, when I stand in heaven I will know that money wasn’t lost, instead I have confidence it was used to its greatest potential.”
As a church family, we have watched as God promises in His word, that we cannot out-give God. He receives each of our gifts and multiplies them into incredible, life transforming ministries that impact our community and our world for Jesus, forever!
Our prayer is that God would take our hearts today. Capture us today. Awaken us to the mind blowing reality that Jesus loves us and cares for us, knowing that there’s nothing we have that didn’t come from Him first. We are happy and generous givers because God is the most extraordinary giver the world has ever known. His love, grace, and generosity towards us inspires us to live radically unselfish, generous, and sacrificial lives.
We love to simply respond to Jesus by giving.
“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NLT
